Away Teams

Next up is the Away Teams tab under the Claim section. You get to the Away Teams tab by clicking on the Claim Chest in the upper right of the main screen (Figure 83). There are a multitude of options available which appear to be based upon your Faction Reputation level for each faction respectively (Figure 84, Figure 85, Figure 86, and Figure 87). Keep in mind that all of the items in this section cost Away Team Credits to purchase. This means that you will need complete Away Team Missions with Away Team Credits as a reward which is discussed in the Away Team Missions section of this article.

The only options in this tab, in my opinion, that are worth purchasing are the Faction Reputation options for whichever Faction Reputation you are focused on and possibly the Rogue Reputation. However, I think the priority should be on whichever Faction Reputation you are focused on. The ship blueprint options are just too expensive for the number of blueprints that you get to be worth utilizing unless you need one or two blueprints to get your ship to the finish line. The Faction Reputation options are very helpful to get you to the Respected level where the first reputation lock occurs. This is explained in the article Faction Tips: Gaining Respected Status in All Three Factions. The Faction Reputation options are also useful to get you to the second and final Faction Reputation lock which occurs at the Champion level for each faction. For each of the three faction options in this tab you can choose between one, two, or three-chest options; but, beware the cost of these chests increase exponentially but the rewards do not (Figure 90). So, purchasing the one-chest option is the best choice. Lastly, once you purchase one of the Faction Reputation options, the reset timer is 22 hours (Figure 91).
