Next up is the Federation Faction Store located in the Factions section. You get to the Federation Faction Store by clicking on the Factions button in the upper left of the main screen (Figure 179). In the Federation Faction Store there are a multitude of valuable items that you can purchase but your access to them is dependent on your Federation Reputation level (Figure 180). While the items that are most important will depend on you and your current circumstances, here are some items that I recommend looking at when you have access to them: Klingon Message Exchange, recruit tokens, ship blue prints, badges, cloaking shards, and materials. Although there are many useful items in the Federation Faction Store, the Klingon Message Exchange will be the only item covered in this article as a part of the Daily Grind.

The most import item within Federation Faction Store, in my opinion, is the Klingon Message Exchange (Figure 181) which can be used to obtain Federation Credits. To purchase the Federation Credits in the Klingon Message Exchange you will need to obtain Klingon Messages. Klingon Messages are obtained by killing Klingon Scouts. Killing Klingon Scouts may also apply to your Daily Goals as explained in the Daily Goals List in this article and will help your Federation Reputation as discussed in the article Faction Tips: Gaining Respected Status in All Three Factions.

Once claimed the reset timer for the Klingon Message Exchange is 22 hours (Figure 182). You will want to ensure that you obtain enough Klingon Messages so that you can purchase the Federation Credits on a daily basis as this is a valuable resource for obtaining Federation Credits. And, Federation Credits can be used to upgrade officers and purchase ship blueprints among other things.

NOTE: What you see in the examples below may differ slightly from what you see in your Federation Faction Store as the items available are based upon your Federation Reputation Level. For example, at the Federation Respected Level the Klingon Message Exchange option will cost 180 Klingon Messages for 350 Federation Credits, but at the Federation Glorified Level the Klingon Message Exchange option will cost 1,000 Klingon Messages for 630 Federation Credits (Figure 181).
