Introduction

What is Deep Space? Where is it? Deep Space is a little bit of a mystery until you get there because you can’t see into the systems without a ship in the system. And, access to those systems is locked. This is all well and good, but how do you plan for something that you know nothing about?

This is the key point: Planning! Before you unlock Deep Space, I highly recommend that you read the articles: Deep Space Mining, Part 1, Deep Space Mining, Part 2, and Deep Space Mining, Part 3.  These articles will give you insight into what is required once you get to Deep Space. This will help you plan ahead before you unlock Deep Space.

Now that you have planned appropriately your ready for Deep Space. So how do you unlock Deep Space? Read on for the answer…

Requirements

The first requirement to unlock Deep Space is that you need to be at Operations Level 38. When you upgrade to Operations Level 38 you will complete the City Middle mission (Figure 2). You will then need to complete the missions: Ancestral Answer, Invaluable Asset, Power Up, and The Primeval (Figure 2). Lastly, you need to have a ship capable of warp 56.

Deep Space Unlock

Now you are ready for the Dark Space mission. To complete this mission, you will need to donate 10,000 G3 Raw Ore to open the warp paths to Deep Space ( Figure 3). The warp paths to Deep Space that you will unlock are shown in Figure 3.
